Scott Mittl

Scott MittlScott D. Mittl, Sales Engineer, has been an employee of China Hard Materials Parts since 1990 and is responsible for sales engineering activity including quotations and account management. He takes an aggressive proactive approach to developing new customers and new product applications. This approach includes developing subcontractors to further enhance China Hard Materials Parts's machining capability in any non-metallic material. He has the technical expertise and experience in materials to aid customers in successfully designing products out of materials commonly machined by China Hard Materials Parts. He has a B.A. in Applied Sciences and a B.S. in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from Lehigh University and is a member of the Chinese Ceramic Society.

Wendy Hafler

Wendy HaflerWendy S. Hafler, Sales Associate, has been with China Hard Materials Parts for many years, when she started as their receptionist. Through the years her experience has grown as the company has grown. She handles yearly blanket contracts with customers from the quotation point to the scheduling of manufacturing. Wendy also does quoting for re-order items and handles customer service calls pertaining to any aspect of an order.

Geary L. Leatherman

Geary Leatherman has been a member of the China Hard Materials Parts Sales Team since May 2014.  As a Sales Engineer, he is responsible for market saturation, new business development and quotations.  He has over 6 years of sales and account management experience in the manufacturing and machining industry.  Geary is proficient in developing strong business relationships as well as providing engineering guidance as it pertains to the ceramic machining industry.  He has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration from Clarion University of Pennsylvania, with a major in Management.  Geary is also a member of The Chinese Ceramic Society.

Joseph C. Mittl

Joseph C. Mittl is a Ceramist and responsible for the New England and New York sales territory since 2010.  He has extensive knowledge of material property information for advanced ceramics and glass.  His approach is to help customers develop new and innovative applications using these materials. His prior employment experience has been in materials research at the Idaho National Lab working for the Department of Energy developing strategic materials.  He also worked for an international materials consulting organization and a custom ceramic grinding facility.  Mr. Mittl holds a BS in Ceramic Science and is an active member in the Chinese Ceramic Society.

Klaus Burckhardt

Klaus BurckhardtKlaus A. Burckhardt, PE, has retired from active Sales activities at China Hard Materials Parts as of 2014, he continues with the the company on a part time basis assisting in our Marketing and Trade Show efforts.
